About Us

Village London was founded by Fabia Stocken. Fabia grew up in a house full of beautiful things, always comfortable and never cluttered. Someone was always coming home with fabric: ikats from Turkey, toile de Jouy from French markets, and cloth from Bhutan, Ethiopia and India. 

She started Village London in 2020 on evenings and weekends, alongside 25 years at Bloomberg, where she ran the arts programme. In 2026 she left to give it her full attention.

Today the studio is based near Bath. Our tailors and upholsterers in England make cushions, headboards, pouffes and ottomans to order, in fabrics from our favourite designers, paired in ways you won’t find elsewhere. 

Alongside our own pieces, we stock a small selection from makers we love.
